Were you at the library this week? There was a lot happening!
It started with the Board of Trustees meeting on Monday. The public is invited to these meetings, so feel free to call the library for details.
Tuesday evening seemed to be Community Meeting Night. The Fiber Handcraft Group met in front of the fireplace, Grandparents Support Group met in the Community Room, and the Alumni Committee met in the Young Adult section upstairs. The parking lot was full!
Wednesday after school Karen led young people in a cooking class, where they made heart-shaped pizzas, and cupcakes. I’m still waiting for Karen to teach an adult cooking class, so I can benefit from her love of cooking and baking.
For adults, there was Zumba Class on Wednesday evening, Yoga for Adults Thursday late afternoon, and on Friday the first class of the Healing Yoga for Aging Bodies met in the afternoon. This community likes to exercise!!
The library is still the meeting place for GED classes Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00am.
All of this was in addition to the regular after-school programs of Teen After-School, Makerspace with Stefanie, Legos, and morning story times.
A big thank you to everyone who came and supported the Friends of the Library Book Sale last week.
Also, a reminder that the library will be open Monday, February 18th.
Thank you for supporting your library, see you there!
